"Para Servirle" literally translates "to serve you". This expression is used quite a bit in Guatemala where we work. Our brothers and sisters say this to let us know that it is their pleasure to serve us. Now we say this to all of you who have been asking for a way to share information with other trip participants!
We ask that you sign on here and leave your comments about the materials you had to work with in Guatemala. Let future team members know what they can bring that will make the week run a little more smoothly for them. Some of our doctors, dentists and surgeons are new and getting ready to make their first trip. Others of you are seasoned veterans. We are blessed by each and every one of you!
Thank you all for your help with this and please remember to pass the word along so that we have a good running list of things that are needed or are plentiful!
God bless you all for your help and support!
In Him,
Julie Wheetley

Let's see if this works.
ReplyDeleteJulie, I found this blog! I hope people read it and keep up. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. I immediately think of the need for flashlight batteries size C and bring a personal flashlight. At night the flashlights are a huge help in post op.
Definitely bring snack/energy bars. They are a big help.
I will have to think about the medical supplies...we get used to doing with what we have.
What is on your wish/need list?
Hi Julie and the April 18 -25 Gyn Surgical team. This team is superb.I didn't want to go home but I missed my family.I took Crash I at the Christian Spanish Academy and I advise my colleagues to take take "Medical Spanish".
ReplyDeleteI wanted to be a purist and start at the beginning but found that it was a pretty boring forgettable slog. I will continue with Skype and have set up lesson via Sykpe software . So that is my tip! Carolyn J. Harrington,MD.
